I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 3 Y6 R$ @0 ?5 V9 L1 p& D% ]- `& w! T8 _1 k
